How to Gain PointsJoining the Flying Samaritans
All members start with +1 points when they join the Flying Samaritans. Attending Meetings
Attending our monthly meetings will earn members +1 points. Joining Fundraisers
Attending fundraisers will earn members +2 points. Waitlisted for a Clinic
If a member is waitlisted for a clinic, they will gain +1 points. This ensures members who actively sign up for clinics will be chosen for upcoming trips. |
How Points are LostClinic Trips
Every clinic which a member attends costs -1 points. *This is utilized in our system to ensure the same members do not attend every trip, allowing newer members to join clinics. Late Cancellations
Unexcused late cancellations prior to clinics will lose a member -2 points. Members must cancel a clinic they have been accepted on at least 4 days prior. Excused cancellations will not lose a member points. Late Attendance
If a member is late meeting in the morning of a clinic, the member loses -2 points. Call time for clinics is at 5am in the CSUF Nutwood Structure. No Shows
A member missing a clinic which they were scheduled to join without excuse will result in -2 points. Unprofessional Conduct
We are a professional organization, unacceptable conduct could incur the loss of -5 points or becoming banned from participation in CSUF Flying Samaritan events. |
*To ensure the fair choice of volunteers on clinic trips, we utilize a record system for determining member activity. During the selection process, members with a higher point total are chosen for a given month's clinic.
