Hello! My name is Cameron Yen, your 2018-2019 General Coordinator. I graduated with a degree in Economics from Pitzer College and completed a post-bac at CSUF, with intentions of applying to medical school this cycle. Flying Samaritans has truly been a unique and unforgettable experience. Initially, I struggled to communicate with patients because of the language barrier. However, using nonverbal communication with a gradually developing Spanish vocabulary has helped me have more fruitful interactions with the patients. As General Coordinator, I want to have more of an impact by sharing and implementing ideas that can improve the overall health of the El Hongo community.
